...most indications are that :
- Pushkin used only his own culture’s 18th cent. playing deck
- the Russian divinatory system most commonly has lettered cards & approp Russian folk tale figures;
- Pushkin’s story even protag Germann’s hallucinations, barely involve Russian folk figures;
...the queen of spades significatns "secret ill- will refer not to the Russian divinatory system but to only the standard playing deck."
...this blogger suggests that given almost 200 yrs, Pushkin’s Queen of Spades influenced the (Tarot) spade suit’s NEGativity - - not the other way around.

"When Pushkin adapted to his tale the 3-7-1 system, he acquired with it other traditions of myth and religion."

...the dictionary breaks ’thaumaturge’ into thauma (MIRACLE) and work (THEATRE) : More needed, one turns to (THEATRE, WORK).
...Alexander Pushkin by kpg open-ended his tale Q of Spades, mystified 1834 and ensuing readers with (theatrical)- meaning layers of verbal and numerical games. "Inevitably new questions arise and old questions remain unsolved."
